Default Opinions, please

A really quick question... do you guys prefer my photos with frames or without? Two examples:

with fake frame
Turqoise Waters - Daily Travel Photos - Once Daily Images From Around The World

without fake frame
Mall & Mosque - Daily Travel Photos - Once Daily Images From Around The World

I've been running my photos with frames because I was more partial to them but recently got a couple comments from people who aren't fans of the frames.

Please leave a comment. I'd love to hear what photography enthusiasts say. I'm leaning towards taking them out for the next batch of photos I do.

Thanks a bunch!

I sort of prefer the non-framed version, mainly because the frame seems to make the photo feel more "postcardy". That's not a very good explanation, but it's the best I have.

Admittedly, I frame my photos, but usually in a very subtle way -- see Askew for an example. Your frames are hard to avoid, which I think is probably distracting some of your viewers.

Without, i dont even look at a picture if it has one of those big "look at me" frames around them. I always click the back button on my mouse as soon as i see one.

Without. The example you provided really wasn't bad, but no, I don't like fake frames on photos.

Definitely without in those examples, I don't mind a solid black border (or solid white if on a dark background), it helps the pic stand out, but a white border with a dropshadow just looks tacky.
