Default Who here shoots with an Olympus E-510?

I've got several Olympus cameras, the E-10, E-100rs, the SP550 UZ, and an old original OM1. While I like the quality pics I get from the E-10 and the E-100 rs, they are old and slow and low MPs. My father has an E-3, that I really like, but he also has a E-510, that he thinks would suit me (for what I want to do) He's loaning me the 510, so I can see how we get along ;-) I would be using this camera primarily for shooting sheepdog trials, so outdoor, action shots...So, anyone use this camera, and what are your likes and dislikes about it. Thanks for any and all input!

Betty

I don't have an E-510 but have an E-410. I think the Olympus excel at outdoor photography. I love the vibrant colors with my Olympus.

I have the E-500 and the E-520.. Cant say as there is anything I dislike about either one. Both produce some mighty fine images. I am totally sold on Olympus products

Thanks ;-) I thought about switching to Nikon, but when I picked up the D-40, it just didn't feel right (dumb I know ;-) ) but it felt really flimsy...I like the way the Olympus cameras feel, and I do like the quality of the pics they turn out. Guess I'll play with the 510 this week and see how she goes. I snapped a few pics with it tonight, and it seems to handle a lot like the E-100rs...so maybe I'll be diggin' it after all ;-)

I have used the E-620 at work and I liked it. It's a good little camera. However the E-3 , their flagship model, is the biggest piece of junk camera I have ever been forced to shoot. I'd rater use the damn thing as a paper weight, and even then it would be an eyesore.

Really ? Interesting ;-) I've not used it yet, but my father adores it ;-) and he gets some really good stuff with it as well. I'm curious as to why you consider it junk?
