My 5 yo asked for a camera for Christmas (yes, I know it's early). I would like her to have a decent camera, but not one that can easily be destroyed. From a lot of my reading, most of the "kid" cameras take poor quality photos. She would notice, and probably not be really happy about it. Have any of you had any good experiences with cameras for kids?

Well, I don't have a suggestion for a good one, but you are right. The kid ones suck. My son has the Crayola one and you can't even begin to tell what the pic is of on the LCD. I saw some cameras at walmart that are for kids but are not "kid tough" for around $20. Not sure how good they are but I'm considering getting one for my 5 year old to replace the Crayola camera.
