Hi y'all! I'm still relatively new to this site (been lurking awhile) and new to photography. I'm having a slight mid-life crisis at the age of 31 and I want to learn all I can about photography in hopes of eventually beginning my own business (I know ... the market is already saturated with photographers). I need a career change-lol. I want to take some courses online and would like to know if there are any good, VALID, semi-inexpensive online courses that anyone here have taken and would recommend. Thank you for your help!

Not sure what your level of expertise is - this course may be too "beginner" for you, but I guess if you wander around their site they may also have more advanced stuff on offer.
CreativeTechs Tips » Free 10-Week Digital Photography Course! No idea what they're like, but they offer a free online course, I've just signed up for it. I saw some good reviews from people who've taken it, so I figured I had nothing to lose, especially as it's free. It'll be a good start for me anyway & I can move on to paid courses later on. Good luck! |

How did this class go for you guys?? I've taken classes in my past, but it has been a while. I'm on the same track as far as wanting to get back into it as a serious hobby and potentially create my own business for all kinds of interests (weddings, portraits, nature, family, sports, etc.) Let me know how this went!!!
Also, what kind of camera are you starting on? I have an older digital camera (prob obsolete compared to new ones today) and an older SLR. Which would you recommend? |
