Default Time flies!

Having just recently come back into photography I thought I'd revisit a previous shot I was pleased with. The original was developed in the darkroom in black and white and I thought it looked good at the time. It was the local cathedral with a gravestone/plinth in the foreground.

So there I go with my camera to recreate the original image and shock! There was a great big tree between the gravestone and cathedral!!

So I came despondently home and explained to my wife what had happened, 'when was it?' she asked. 'When I was 15' I replied. She shook her head in desperation, 'THAT WAS THIRTY YEARS AGO!'

I couldn't reply!

Sometimes reality hurts! Trust me, I've been there myself, lots of times. It's sad to see some things change over time. Did you go ahead and take a shot? If not, you should go back and do it just to show the change.

If I can find the original picture (I still have it somewhere!!) and definitely retake the shot just so I can put them side by side in comparison.
