Default Art Gallery Show

I recently submitted some of my photos to a local gallery for a feature show and reception. I finally heard back from them just last night. I've been accepted for a show. I called this morning to make arrangements and schedule the show, I told them I would need a bit of time to have some more prints printed and framed, mo problem, the next available date is February, 2010. Well, I got plenty of time to get ready, for sure.

I can dig it. The space I get is 21' long by 12' tall. Man, thats alot of room to cover but I'm going to try my best. That and all the pieces have to be ready for sale, either framed or gallery wraps and ready for hanging. Lord, I have about a few thousand shots to go thru and figure out what to print. this should be a barrel of laughs.

Congrats! Do you get to select your photos, or does the gallery have say?

Congratulations!...I have browsed your work and you have many, many worthy images. It would be neat if you kept us updated from the selection process through to the event. Good luck!

Thanks Bryan, I submitted 6 images for approval, now I have to pick the rest. Its going to be a job considering I need to cover a 21 x 12 area. Right now, I'm shooting my butt off and processing new and old shots till my eyes are bugging out. I'll keep y'all posted on how its coming together.

How fun !!!! Did you just give them 6 framed photos, or did you have a portfolio that you showed them ??

I just had to submit copies of 6 of my photos via e-mail. For the show everything has to be ready for sale and hanging on the wall.

Very cool. I'd love to do something like that after my courses are done in 2011. Congrats
