Default I added another Canon to the lineup
My buddy blew the engine up in his car so he needed some money to get it repaired so I now own a Canon XTi, Kit lens and extra battery for the great price of $220.00. I now will be getting my 16 year old daughter into the hobby!!!!

Yeah it was a great deal LOL I had done a bunch of computer work for him also so he said he owed me anyway. I am either gonna give it to my daughter or put it on Ebay I haven't decided. Anyone have a old CF card laying around they don't need? LOL

Ah, I wish I had an extra laying around for your daughter, but that's what I use in my camera. They're pretty cheap now, though, I got a 4GB for like $25 at Staples

Yeah I have like 20 SD cards laying around here from 512 Megs all the way up to 16 Gig and my luck the XTi takes CF cards LOL I found a 8 GB on Ebay for $20.00 so I guess thats not too bad.

Haaaaaa!!! U so lucky!!! Go ahead , get your girl into the field!!
My daughter is 10 years old , and I can;t wait to get her a dslr and any mac that can do the job with OSx or DreamLinux that feels almost exactly the same(so she won't get used to other commercial OS ... haha!)
I live in Taiwan , and memory cards are made here though .. cheap if U need , only have to see if it is worth it with the mail and if can send as "2nd hand" so no have taxes

Marcel - I'd be interested, too, if it'd be worth it and you're willing, of course! A couple of 8GB CF cards would fit nicely into my camera !
