Greetings to all.My name is Alan & I'm pretty much a photo newbie.I am retired U.S.Army Master Sergeant & just by chance have gotten into photography.A small sideline business I have is buying(by auction)storage lockers that have been defaulted on & abandoned, then selling whatever I can on Ebay or where ever.A few weeks ago I purchased a storage unit at auction & one of it's contents was an absolutely mint condition,in original box, with all original manuals,Nikon Coolpix 8800 camera.I've been using it in "Green"mode the last few weeks & really like it a lot.It really handles well & seems easy enough to use in the auto modes. My question is this:How do I learn to really use this thing?I've looked at an online Digital Photo course & it looks like that may be the way to go but I'm wondering if I have any other options.Unfortunently there's only 1 decent camera store where I live & they don't have any courses until the middle of Sept.Any decent books for beginners?I appreciate any replies, now I'm off to check out this community. Thanks again.
