Default My flight was cancelled, I'm stuck at heathrow, what should I do?

I'm stuck at Heathrow airport till 6pm tonight. I only have access to public transport and I have my camera with me.

So ideas, please

What should I do, where should I go, and more importantly, what should I take photos of? I know London pretty well and don't mind something a bit different but would like to at least get some photos out of this crappy situation.

(Please don't say take pictures of planes!)

i know ya don't wanna hear it, but taking photos of planes is actually a great idea! The details of a plane such as a wing or the closeup of a cockpit window or the engines, would make great photos. i think if ya took photos of these things, you will have some great photos.

or ya can take photos of people, the faces of disgruntled passengers, the joys (if any joy) in kids as they play to pass the time, or of an employee working.

heck even still life such as a magazine or newspaper or vending machine or a plant.

hope you aren't stuck there long

Public transport (bus). Go to Windsor. It's about 10 miles away, if that.

Get off the streets and away from tourist destinations and take shots of everyday folk. My skills aren't good enough to improve on shots of the Eye of London already extant in a bajillion photo sites and books, but I might get something good snapping a shot of the local shwarma guy hacking away with his knives at a block of spinning meat.

I think I wouldn't have any problems finding enough subjects to shoot in London, and in the Heathrow itself. Hope you had a good time.

Make pictures of reunited family/friends, returning home. Airports and train stations are great locations for pictures like those!

Shoot people. I agree with Xoc. Reuniting pictures have a pleasant aura which can be felt by everyone.
