Default It's an old old old lens.

This is going to be an awkward story, so bare with me.

My sisters husband was married before her. His first wife is a photographer, with her own portrait studio. Well, he used to shoot portraits, weddings, you name it.

He quit, after they divorced. So, yesterday, he mentions he has this lens that he was going to give me.

He gave me a Kodak 80-210 lens.

It doesn't have an AF motor in the lens, so I have to manually focus it, because my Nikon D40 doesn't have the AF motor. But, I love this lens!

Is this a nice lens? or.. WAS a nice lens?

Sounds like you like it so I guess that means it's a good lens. My two favourite lens are my 50mm and 90mm ones (see my sig, below), neither of which autofocus or meter on the D40 and both of which are great tools to work with.
