"looking for" section?
i am on a few other photo forums and they have a section where you can post what you are looking to buy, not just selling. am i missing it? or does it just not exist?

Lots of people have posted threads like that in the Gear for Sale section, but I don't know how successful they've been in their searches.

We'll get a clue if we get some positive answers in this thread. Personally I'm at this site to learn and share about photography and I'm not interested in buying prints but this is a thriving community with all sorts of interests represented.

I think it is a great idea. That way people might have or be thinking about selling something or forgot they had one and haven't posted it in the for sale section and they see someone looking for one they can just sell it

Perhaps just renaming Gear for Sale to Marketplace or Buy/Trade/Sell?

That's a great idea. But, like Mr Guy said, just rename it something like Buying/Selling all Camera Gear?

I agree with that. There's not really a reason to seperate them. And that section is used for everything right now anyway.
