Calling all New Zealand Photographers - Need Location Advice

Hi guys,
I have one day off this weekend and want to take a little road trip. I live in Glenfield and want to drive along the west coast (out Port Waikato way) and down - loop around to Hamilton and come back up via the East Coast/Paeroa way.

Where should I stop to take photos? Are any of the falls nice? For instance, Bridal Veil is pretty uneventful, so looking for something else. Normally I would just drive down random roads in hopes of finding something but I have seen a few kiwis on here so I thought maybe someone could help.

Okay - random road trip it is...heading out in an hour for parts unknown.

Hope you have fun! Sorry I didn't have any tips, I'm too far south to know that area very well. Make sure to post up some shots.
