Default Not a photography comment

but is anyone else suffering Major site lsow odwn when the Sainsbury ad pops into the list ? It is unbelievably annyoying the whole forum slows for me when it is on ... grrrr *makes notes to never shop at Sainsbury* One day these ad people will learn it is better to promote quietly than in yer face..

Yeah I've found it always moves slow. Heck the latest versions of firefox dont help the fact either.

That's because the site is about ad revenue and money, not about photography.

Hey...it'd be great if I could do photography without money but they ain't given me camera bodies and lenses for free. So I sell photos. It's still about the photography.

As could I, but this site is the most advertised and whored out of any I go to.

True. I'll admit I'm getting pretty sick of some of the ads that rotate around the forum...but it doesn't cost me anything to learn a helluva lot. A fair trade? For me...yep.

If you guys find a planet where hosting and development and peoples time etc is free - by all means, please get in touch.

If you have a specific issue with the site speed (Which I currently do, too) then please submit it to one of the Mods or directly to me...

If you don't like that advertising, try FF with ad blocker?... Or, of course I guess we could remove all the ads and have people pay for an annual subscription? no? didn't think so...

Works great for me. I didn't even know the site had ads until other people were complaining about speed and margin issues.
