Question New Canon 70-200 2.8 IS

Hi All
I heard from a camera store that Canon is coming out with a new 70-200 2.8 IS this August. Have you heard anything? Wonder if they are just blowing some smoke?

What is a hybrid lens? How are they different from the regular 70-200 2.8 IS? Thanks!

The new type of IS, Hyrbid IS, adds the ability to counter rotational camera shack.

Uhh what? I'm able to keep the camera pretty still on an angular plane...

I have this issue sometimes, you know, when you're taking a shot and suddenly think your camera is a steering wheel and just go nuts! - I wonder how the new IS will work to counteract that!... ;-)

For some reason i imagine you pulling a mariokart and running around making the engine noises and honking a horn... except that it's a big camera/lens combo.
