Any Wordpress template experts out there?

I recently created a wordpress blog from their free templates. I know just enough HTML to be dangerous, and nothing about CSS, so figured this was the quickest route to get started.

I'm not looking for feedback or critique of the blog itself (though am totally open to it, if you have any opinion or suggestions)...my problem is...

I created a custom header which includes the name of the blog and removed the default "site link" because there was no way to customize where it appeared, the font sucked and it looked like poo. The problem is that now I have lost the home page link in the header. i.e. you can't click on the header and go back to my home page.

Do you know if it's possible - and if so how - to add that back in or some how embed it in the image before uploading?

I'm probably way over my head here, but I'm just so used to clicking on the header that I miss it not being there. There is a "Home" tab, but I fear it will get overlooked.

thoughts? suggestions? any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I am not sure how blogs actually on wordpress.com work (I host mine on my own website), but there should be a way to edit the theme. After you get to the theme editor, it should be to the right side under header.php

I'm having a hard time explaining, but once you get to header.php, see if there is a code that looks like what I've highlighted here:

thanks no.absolutes for the info and the offer. after spending much time hunting around WP (I've been a blogspot user for years, having some learning curve issues w/ WP), I think I've found my answer... in order to customize the theme further than what the dashboard/interface will allow, I have to pay a "member fee" to the designer of that theme.

Not really diggin on that...
