Talking Im gonna be a Local Artist...

Well i have taken in the photos to my local gallery and he liked the butterflies and my local landscapes, as well as some of my newer floral pictures (he does have 2 other photographers who are primarily floral, but hey, he wants a diversity on them)

The plan of action is to select 8 - 12 of the best pics to go in a carousel of 8x8 and 8x10 prints from each photographer he has (4 of us) then use them as a sellable preveiws stating that they can be blown up to 50cm or 100cm if required (thats where the money is apparently)

Then i will be added as a local Artist on his new (still not finished) website with an online gallery showing those 8-12 prints he chose as well as others than can be printed on request for sale,

Then i get a cheque at the end of each month of anything of mine thats sold (minus his percentage of course)

RESULT !!

oh and one he really liked was this one...

my hearts still beating a bit fast...

What is their percentage?
A local gallery wanted to put up some of my stuff, but I had to supply the pictures (printed/framed) and they take 40%.....Doesn't seem like a good deal as I'd probably be lucky to sell anything for profit.
On the other hand, there is the "marketing" aspect of it....

BTW, CONGRATS!

weve still got to talk numbers but i give him either the digital image or a print and he does the rest, they will be sold as a mounted print and they offer framing at an extra cost.
