Read this, its interesting, we don't need to have a big discussion about it afterwards but it is a good read.

Its about RAW but do we really need another RAW vs JPEG thread?

Good article. I shoot RAW exclusively. It's made a huge difference in the quality of my post-processing as well as my final images. And since I use Lightroom, it's really not that much different time-wise than shooting JPGs.

But I do understand the reasoning for using JPGs as well. Some folks are set up better to use JPGs and don't need to tinker with images to the extent that others do.

The one part of the article that hits home though is the fact that RAW images may benefit from future advances in RAW converters, whereas that possibility with JPGs is smaller.
