Default Grrr KEH

So I ordered a Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS USM from KEH a couple days ago - KEH has been good to me on a few other purchases. I come home tonight and open up the package and find a 70-200 f4L.

Uhh...

How in the world does a camera store mix up those two lenses? The size difference between them is ridiculous. I emailed them and I'm sure they'll resolve the issue, but for this to happen in the first place is just crazy.

Just had to complain to some people who would understand how ridiculous this is

It happens....but Chris, make sure that they don't charge you for shipping back the wrong lens! I've heard about nightmare places that will do that, so stand your ground.

Haha, no way are they charging me a cent more for anything to do with this. Their big "oops", their time to fix it properly.

wow thats sucks dude... sorry to hear that.

Susan i know exactly what your talking about. My purchase wasnt camera related but was a stereo reciever for my home theatre system. They sent me the champange coloured one instead of black. It cost me a wopping $872 US plus shipping to Canada. The total amount was just under $1100 CAD. Now i contacted them as well but they said they will not send me a box or also give me back some sort of credit to my purchase on my MC. Eventually i looked into to sending it back it would have costed me an arm and a leg ($220 CAD)!!! Also cause all returns had to be back by a certain time frame which ment fast shipping and also insurance, God knows just incase something happened to it on the way back. I never ended up sending it back cause for the same amount of money i would have just bought it here in town. Only reason why i bought it online was to save the $270. i spent $40 instead and paid a proffesional to remove all the casing and bought proper spay paint to make it black. Its a sad story but very true. I couldnt have that colour while all other equipment i have is in black.

I know mine was only colour but besides the point... hopefully something doesnt happen to you.

Best of Luck

-Christian

Hey, at least you got something SOMEWHAT related to your lens.

Needless to say i was pissed.

EDIT: Don't email them, call them... you get faster response.

Now that's an interesting swap maxharvard....

I had my dad call them while I was at work today. They don't actually have a 2.8 IS at all, so they're just going to have the lens they did send me shipped back and refund my credit card.

So, if anyone happens to see a used Canon 70-200 2.8 IS in good condition for sale, let me know

Would be nice if it was the other way around - the f2.8 IS for the price of the f4
