Default Flickr alternatives

Until now I used to get a 'free' paid flickr account through my internet provider. They have cut this service, so now I only have the free flickr account, and I am finding it hard to adjust to the fact that there are limits on my account and no downloading of full sized images that I have uploaded.
Flickr is relatively reasonable and I may just buy a pro account, but I'm also not dead set on Flickr, so before I dish out my money...
Are there any free or very reasonable sites out there that allow access to full size images? Which sites are the best?

I can't freakin stand photobucket!! If I'm paying for my account then they sure shouldn't be telling me what i can and can't have on it as long as its legal. Flickr is cheap and always worked fine for me.

pbase.com. My buddy loves it but you have to pay a fee yearly I think. I plan on using it once I get to that point where I want to have a bunch of my stuff online.

I'm very happy with Flickr. Lots of useful features and plenty more that I don't use but which don't get in the way.

I think picasa offers the ability to upload original size images -- and you can download from your own web albums, but I haven't tried it. I only upload at reduced low res. Picasa is free but you only get 1Gb of storage, although you could probably use a gmail account to store another 7Gb. There is the ability to increase your storage for a yearly fee.
