Default WOOHOO New equipment!!!

Man, I'm all stoked up. Came into a little extra cash the last few weeks and have been picking up some extra goodies. Two weeks ago, found a guy that was selling used Canon flashes, did a little talking and picked up a 420 EX and a 430 EX for $100. He called me a couple days later and sold me a 550 EX for $80. The 550 will control both the others infra-red. Last week, I ordered and recieved 2 lightstands with white shoot thru umbrellas and silver reflector umbrellas. Last night I ordered a set of V4 triggers and today, the FedEx truck came by and dropped of my new Canon 85mm f1.8. I took a couple test shots with it and the results are just awesome. Now I gotta go do some shooting.

Oh, yea. I've messed around a little, with the infra-red control but I can't wait for the V4's.

Yes, the flashes were a heck of a deal. If I would have been able to swing it, I might have bought more. The guy had a load of used 420 ex and 430 ex and was selling 550 ex brand new in the box with carrying case and stand for $200.00. I think he had like 6 of them.

I know how you feel. I just got soem new gear as well. But I am still waiting on my lights. stupid new technology production delays.. grrrr. Got an e-mail saying that they are not going to be released in July. No idea when the ship date is. The company did offer a 10% discount on my entire preorder so that is pretty nice.

Until then I will just have to make due with my new camera. Enjoy the speedlights and welcome to the world of off camera flash. be sure to read up on strobist.

New toys are the bomb!!!!

You're going to LOVE the 50mm f1.8. It's a great little lens for the price!

The new lens is a 85mm f1.8. I had a 50mm, but I dropped it and it broke into pieces. The 85 is a replacemnet for it and it's so much better.
