Default The Ski

When I take pictures with my D SLR sometimes the ski turns out white even tho its not
HOW can I improve that when I shout a ski

I had to re-read that 3 times to make sense of it.
It's "sky", "though" and "shoot"

You need to close your aperture (higher F number) or increase your shutterspeed (bigger number) or both.
Please post pics with EXIF data so we can actually see what you're doing!

You might also consider a Grad ND filter to darken the sky and leave the fore ground alone.
