Default concert photo access

There I was in the press of bodies at the foot of the stage. Being a short woman, it was important to get to the front. Normally when you start pushing forward saying "excuse me please" people start to push back. They want out front too, after all, why let you up? But there I am with my zoom lens and tripod and it was magical! When you have "gear" folks act like you've got some authority, some extra right to be there! LOL
I really love my tripod, it's an old Kodak 1910 steel telescoping tube tripod. With the tubes gathered together it's a perfect monopod, but you can also untie them and set it up as a proper tripod. It's a bit weak for robust use but I used it for night pics and now for holding still to catch the concert, tips balanced on my toes to make it just a bit longer. The other photogs were all checking out my pentax rig, especially when I was using the lensbaby. LOL. Here's an awesome picture I got of Johnny Winters. Boy he's getting old eh?

You need to post your photo slightly smaller --- it's pushing the text over too far and I can't see it due to the pesky advertisement. But, regardless, a very nice photo. Well done!

Actually it is posted in the allowable 800px size.

I'd have posted it in Share Your Shots thou.

I thought about it but then I'd have made two posts, one about how people gave way to me and one for the picture! Glad you like it, I'm pretty pleased with the result too.

True, it is. I don't know why, but images that go to the 800 seem to stretch the page now-a-days. The side advertisement plays havoc for me. They didn't used to.

But, yes, again, great image. Nice crisp shot, good lighting. Even with the hat, you don't seem to 'lose' anything --- the shadow across the eyes adds so much to it.
