Attached is a photo I took while walking to work. A makeup store had their lights set up for the "makeover chair". I had a good chuckle.

Well, to be honest, I don't know how to set up a light either. But I also know that I don't know how and would tell you that.

You've failed to take into account the context, I suspect.
The light is being used for a makeover chair - the white umbrella is there to take some of the "sting" out of the bright orange glare that will be reflected off the face of the madeover subject when the flash fires, and reflect it back onto the face with a slightly less nauseatingly garish tone... ![]() Russ.

Not sure that I'd want to use that umbrella anyway. It's filthy. Might get an ugly color cast on the subject.
