Talking I guess SEO works, after all! LOL

Just sharing a bit of good news...after busting my arse marketing and doing as much SEO as I can, I got an email through my "contact me" page on my website from someone completely unknown to me, and not through word of mouth or local advertising. A new client, who is from my hometown, but presently living in Japan, googled photographers in my area and found me. He and his family are coming back home for a wedding and since they'll be all dressed up and the females will have professional hair and makeup done, they decided to have family portraits done prior to the wedding they're going to. After a couple of emails, he called me from Japan and booked me.

I outright asked how he found me (although google analytics already told me that someone from Tokyo had spent some serious time on my site), and he said he found me on Google, as well as other photographers in my area, but he liked my photos the best. I am so psyched that all the work I've been doing is finally working!

On another note: I just wanted to thank everyone here for all I have learned, from the basics of photography, to the finer aspects, to the marketing, the critiques, advice given, and everything else involved. I would NOT be where I am if it wasn't for good friends and DPS, and those who have mentored me online, over the phone, and in person - you all know who you are, and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Auto-Focus! Where can I see your photos? It says 'visit my album for a look' but there is no link. I do a lot of car photography too. Love to see your work.

That's wonderful news Susan! I can't wait for this to happen so we can see the family that picked YOU from Japan! Not that there should be any doubts though, your work is outstanding!
