Rex, you could have organized your own. Even better, you would be the leader. recrute some beach bunnies and go. Me, I'll be wandering about in St. Charles, MO. And we are going to have fun. And take lots of photos.

Sadly enough there are very few photographers on the island that are serious enough to go on a photowalk. Also they cut of the registration for signing up to be a leader early for some reason. I tried to do it but no dice.

There was a photowalk in Cancun but no one was signed up. I would have went to that one but it started too early for me to be able to get to it. The ferries dont run 24/7. I would have had to stay the night in Cancun. Just not worth it.

Too bad Rex. I just got home from the photowalk and now have about 200 images to go thru and then process. Hope that everyone that went had a good time. I geuss I'll go lock myself in the office and start.

Thanks for letting me know! I saw this thread about an hour before my local group assembled; too late to sign up. But I just showed up and everyone was fine with it. I had a grand old time and went on NY's new elevated park for the first time since it opened last month (the High Line). I'll link to my flickr account after I get a chance to process them. Might take some extra time; since I didn't have a regular circular polarizer I used my Moose filter which isn't really meant for the city.

Default Best Shot from my Photo Walk

I am really glad I stumbled upon this a few months ago and signed up. The only really bad thing was that I live in the desert and we have been experiencing higher than normal temperatures. We started our walk at 6am and shortly after 7am we were dripping with sweat and spent the last 90 minutes of our time together chatting at a nearby Starbucks.

Had a great time though. Again I was reminded of how small of a world we sometimes live in. One of the participants was a teacher who taught my daughter over 6 years ago.

This is what I feel is my best photograph from the morning. Feedback welcomed.

I went on one of the Oklahoma City walks. Had a blast! I am ready to do it again next year. We had a great leader. I hope he volunteers again next year.

Just my luck- I ordered a new lens and it showed up on Walk Day--but AFTER I left the house, so I didn't get to take it...bummer.
