Miami has plenty of locations, depending what kind of pictures you want to take.
For beaches, I recommend Key Biscayne, the water is calm and nice. Lots of things going on, like people doing windsurfing, boating, etc. Also, there is a spot on Key Biscayne right after you pass the Rickenbacker Causeway where you see a huge section of Miami Downtown. If you go there at night, you will see the buildings reflected on the water of the bay. Really nice setting for night shooting. At the end of Key Biscayne, you'll find Crandon Park, it has a light house built a century ago. Not sure if you can go inside, but still it is an interesting subject to photograph alog with the beaches If you want other subjects, I would recommend Vizcaya Museum and Gardens Vizcaya is a beautiful Italian Renaissance-style palace set in10 acres of picturesque formal gardens. This is also south of downtown Miami on Biscayne Bay. Regarding Fort Lauderdale, I would recommend Butterfly World, it is a little bit north of Fort Launderdale, but you will have plenty of opportunities to photograph butterflies, humming birds and other birds. Metro zoo is farther south, in Miami, but another good place to take pictures of animals. See this page, it has all the info on the sites I mentioned, plus some others Where to Go in Miami | iExplore.com Good luck and let us know how it went. |
