Default Waiting for a delivery truck...

I've ordered my first dslr yesterday (D60 + VR kit lens) and now I'm waiting for a delivery, it should be here before 12 pm (its 10.26 now). I'm so nervous I think I'm gonna be sick tomorrow.

And the worst thing - I've seen delivery truck parked on the other side of the street, driver came out, and took some packages and droped them on the ground... I went cold... To mishandle packages like that... But he was deliverying to someone across the street. Not that it makes it anything better, but at least I could relax again.

So... I'm waiting and going crazy with every passing minute... I'm scared something will happen and I'll have to wait until Monday... (Not very probable, but my imagination is running wild)

Just had to tell that to someone, and I know ppl here will understand that.

I completely understand that. Let's hope it gets there before Monday.

I can imagine how nervous you are. I'm also planing to buy a D60 + 18-105mm VR lens very soon, but I'll have to wait for two weeks for it to arrive.

I'm really on the edge now, it's 11.45, and the website claims all packages will be delivered before noon next day (that's today... did I say 12 am or pm?). If they will be late, why not call to inform me, they have my number...

Delivery companies are notorious about being rough package handlers. Companies know this, and package their products accordingly.

The delivery business is all about speed, not caring about the fragility of the package. If it is truly fragile, it should be labeled as such.

BYW, did you get your package yet?

No, not yet. It's 2:47 pm, almost 3 hours late.

I called the info line somewhere around 12.30 and person on the phone told me that package is delivered to my town this morning, and is with courier, it should be in my hands today. They don't know why it is not already. And, since info line works only until 1 pm today, I can not call again...

Only thing I can do now is wait. And be angry.

Well... I'm really sad to say that I did not get my camera today (it's 21h now / 9pm). Tomorrow is a day off, so nothing until Monday. And someone is gonna pay for this (official policy is that the company pays 5x the postage costs if shipment is late)... I already wrote blog post about it and wrote to camera seller not to use services of this shiping company any more...

Oh man that stinks so badly. Really sorry to hear that this has happened. Reminds me of a few weeks ago when I ordered a new lens ... they shipped me the wrong mount .. then I had to wait to get the right one.

Disappointing and discouraging.
