Thumbs up My Journey in Astronomy - 5 years since it all began!

Hi all

My wife will tell you – I don’t get into hobbies lightly. I become engrossed in them, obsessed It becomes a passion, not just a hobby.

And so it was when in June 2004, I decided that I was going to start pursuing my interest in Astronomy and take it up as a hobby. Now, 5 years later – wow, what a journey it has been!

This month marks the 5th anniversary of my time in Astronomy. Take a stroll down memory lane with me to find out how it all began, the ups and downs along the way, and my plans for the future.

My Journey in Astronomy - 5 years since it all began!

Thanks for reading.

Mike, an incredible journey and inspiring story. It's so great that you've been able to take your learning experience, and turn it into a worldwide teaching experience. It's a tribute to both your photographic skills, and also your ability to communicate with others, that you have such a huge following. I have repeatedly tried handholding my P&S up to the eyepiece of my handheld binoculars to try and get a shot of the craters on the moons terminator - needless to say - I always fail
Thanks for sharing your story, and keep up the brilliant work.

Grumby

Thanks very much for your feedback and encouragement, it's very much appreciated.

I hope that I can continue to share my journey over the next 5 years, and hopefully help more people along the way.

Cheers

Thanks for sharing these as Bradzo says mind blowing photographs and your history.
I was giving your details by Bradzo to look you up earlier but my Father is in hospital and has been for the last 6 weeks. Well worth the wait in my view.
