Hi all
New to the forums. I've searched for this topic and have not found exactly what I'm looking for. I'm trying to achieve and old black and white feel for some of my photos. Really it's a brown and white..like the old photos from the late 1800's to the mid 1940's. It's not quite a sepia..here are a few examples: http://www.shorpy.com/node/6289?size=_original http://www.shorpy.com/node/6284?size=_original I use Adobe PS Elements 6 and have tried to use optikVerve Labs Virtual Photographer plug in and have come pretty close. The colors back them seem to have a richer feel with an incredible sharpness. When I convert to B& W using E6, they seem to lack any real character. They are just plain, old black and white. Does anyone have any suggestions or techniques they could pass along to help achieve this look? |
