Default Creating a studio

Hi,

My company has recently moved premises and there was a room which wasn't going to be used so I have bagged it for a small studio. The room measures 5m by 4m and has a large window at one end. the window has a steel roller shutter door which totally blacks out the room. There are loads of power point and lighting feeds at each end of the room (and we have a company electrician who can install anything required). We have a small changing room/Toilet and an entrance/waiting room with direct access to the "studio". At the back of the unit is a superb 12 feet high red brick wall which will be great for outdoor shots and attaching backdrops to.

This is a "from scratch" set up so I would love to know how would you go about setting this room up as a working studio with regards to lighting, decor, equipment etc. I don't have loads of money to start with but I intend to use any money I do make to improve the place and equipment. I would mostly be using it for portraits, kids/babies and small groups. I am strictly amateur but very keen and as the studio will be costing me nothing very lucky too.

Many thanks in advance for any feedback or ideas.

Paul.
