I'm just wondering how you guys or if you guys tag you're images, generally I tend to use photo shop & stick my online name in there someplace along with a smaller hidden one in it as well just in case someone goes to edit it out ... How ever this tends to take a lot of time I was wondering if there was a better way or program out there to do this with ?!..

I'm guessing you're talking about watermarking. I use a couple of different methods.
1. For images posted to flickr, I limit to medium size only, and use gimp to put a small frame, title, and my name on the image in a corner. I figure that the images are small enough to not cut into my photo business, which brings me to... 2. For my photo sales site, I watermark the photos with a VERY faint copyright image -- which is really intended NOT to interfere with the image, just to provide possible evidence if anything happens. That is done automatically by zenfolio, which is the selling company I use. I don't have any batch way to do this, since my volume is low enough that it's pretty easy...

I use the IPTC info field in Photomechanics to do all my photo tagging

I made a custom brush in Photoshop from a logo that Adam (OsmosisStudios) created for me. When I'm done PPing, I just use the brush and slap my watermark on the photo. I do this for web-posted images (Flickr, my website, my Facebook business page).

That sounds like the way to do it, I don't suppose you know how to set up something like that eh?

That sounds like a solution that could probably be adapted to GIMP too - another little project for me

I don't know how he made the logo, but making the custom brush is easy...let me know if you need a tutorial.

If others are, I'd be really interested in finding out how a custom brush is made too. Thank you!

By the way, I use Elements 7 - not a CS version.
