Talking What's your camera's name(s)?

I wasnt sure where to put this thread, so I thought I'd try here.

Upon reading one of Mike's lessons/stories of The Adventures of Nikki Sue, it came to my mind, "What would I name my camera, if I gave it a name?"

I have a pink Sony Cybershot, so I figured I'd name it Astra. Astra is pretty much pink granite, and this lil camera is tough. It survived a tumble and kept on going.

So, what would YOU name YOUR camera or camera's if you were to give it/them a name?

Just moved this over to the general chat section

I'll have to think about what I'd name my camera...

Well...I thought about this probably WAY more than I should have, but...I would have to call my camera "Sanity" if I were to give it a name. Why? Because it IS my sanity, it saves my sanity, and without my camera, I would not have all of my sanity.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

I try not to get emotionally involved with inanimate objects! L.o.l
I've never thought about it. Would I give it a masculine or Feminine name? Or would I name like a Pet. Rover, Skippy or Spot? I think Not! I think it must be Feminine as I love the feel of Her in my hands, I long to hold her, almost obsessively. She is playful and she loves it when I push her buttons. Feminine, Definately! So Nicky Sue Cannon doesn't work, Caroline Canon? No. Sometimes I want to call her Bad, Nasty names; especially when She won't focus on what I'm trying to accomplish. Alas, My imagination fails me!!

With the way most days go for me, ie I plan something only to have everything else come up, I name my camera the same thing I name most of my tools; Murphy. That's right; Murphy. Brother Murphy tends to come along on most of my adventures and since I accepted him into my life I tend to pay homage to him by naming things after him.

D80 - Spot
D300 - Rover

Every lizard, frog, and snake around my place are named the same.

Well.. Chewys Dad's camers is feminine... so I guess mine will have to be masculine for the same reasons as his. As for the name..... geeeeee thats hard.... wouldnt want to call it the same names I normally call the males around me. That would be rude to the extreme lol. "Snappy" springs to mind or "Shakey" (camera shake is a big issue for me)... but before I settle for one particular name I will have to think very hard about it lol xxx

Yup! Has to be a woman's name!

Helped me get over the trauma of a divorce. Kept me out of the bars. Sounds off when I'm doing something wrong. BEEP!!! Hey you idiot! You can't focus on that!! I'm not taking this picture!! Constantly calling me when I have left her sitting in one spot for too long. Okay, maybe just in my head. Constantly draining my checkbook because she just has to have that newest/best lens. Never happy with the companions she has! I should call her Robberta! Okay, that one may be me too. She is constantly telling me that, "Bigger is better"!! I keep saying, "How about that sweet little Nifty Fifty though!".

All in all, she's a pretty good companion. She likes long walks on the beach & beautiful sunsets.

I think she has a pretty good eye! How about, Satie the D80.
