Hi guys
I have started photography and for the moment I own a P5100 Nikon P&S Camera.
I was browsing on ebay for some accesories and I came up with this:

No.

And just to meet the "10 character requirement" on this site.

No. No. No. No. No.

There, that's 10.

lol the site requires each post to have at least 10 letters in it so no would not have been suitable :P

Question

If I may....

Why not?

Is it the Yongnuo name/brand? Is it just incompatible? Will this make the camera eject protoplasm from the lens engulfing the subject in a fifth dimension never to be seen again without the aid of Dan Akroyd, Bill Murray, and that other guy nobody remembers?

Not that I really intended to be a smartass. It just happened.

I know some of us can't afford the high end Canon and Nikon name brand items, so we look for some deals elsewhere. My non-Canon intervalometer works perfectly, even if it is comparing apples to non-apples.

With all due respect the brand is junk. #2 don't you think that's a bit over kill for a P&S?!?

Good enough... if the brand is junk, then it is junk, I have no experience with Yongnuo.

As for overkill... maybe, but I would then argue that 3 umbrella flashes and 5 or 6 floods is overkill for an SLR. Maybe it would fill better in the sunlight than the stock strobe, or be used as a bounce flash.

I'd go with one of the "other" brands if I were you, claudvic, like a Quantaray or Sigma. At least the camera store may cover it with SOME sort of warranty. The price difference isn't too big, imho.

Anyhow, your camera is turning out some fine images. Go for a flash and enjoy it even more.

Tell that to Annie Lebowitz (sic?) the lady uses about 14,000 flashes on each portrait.

It was 16,440 when I was helping her with Demi Moore, but who's counting?
