I think I got asked "Did you take all of these?" 500,000 times. I finally ende dup saying, nope, the camera did! Somepeople didnt find humor in it. lol
The show was set on concrete which was horrid. No real way to secure your booth whent he winds picked up. Sand bags work to a point but not as good as being staked down. Not to mention how hard it is on your feet and legs to stand on concrete for 12 hours a day. Kinda stupid when there was grassy areas right behind us. So, this is the way my weekend started. I've been calling for 2 weeks trying to get them to give me an idea where my booth was going to be set up. I was met with a ton of " I dont knows" I finally get a hold of someone who infroms me she will tell me when I get there. So, of course I rush right down and then the woman tells me that she doesnt have me on the list! Go figure. My reply was, "You cashed my check you better have me on the list" went downhill from there. She then informs me that if I am able to set up it wont be until the next day and walked away leaving me standing there with my mouth gaping wide open. About then I see the fire department is calling. Lo and behold its the chief calling to see if I was int he show. The poor man had no idea what he was getting into. Told him what was happening so he says that they were set up and he would save the spot next to him. So I go and load up my car and pull right on in and set up. Ha ha My friend was also there selling his photography. I may have slit my own throat with the event but I felt I wouldnt be a friend if I didnt inform him of his booth fee. You see what they do is charge some people full price of $195. Others paid anywhere from 100 down to nothing. My friend paid full price so right or wrong I told him he needs to call and complain and why. Felt it was the right thing to do. I mean how crappy is that! I made about 700 this weekend but am so flipping tired I could sleep standing up. How was your weekend?

Mike- yup. This one really bothers me as I used to actuallu put on this show and know how it should be run. The reasons stated are why a large portion will not be back. Which, would be a huge concern for the promoters as numbers were all ready down
Eric- dont make me hurt you

And all the time I thought Florida was the only place that this stuff went on. The past year has been real bad for both vendors and buyers. A lot of looking and a lot of questions but it ends there. Hope the next one is better for you.
