G10 Internal Flash Guide Numbers

Hello All,

Remember in the good old manual film photography days when nearly nothing was automatic? Remember using flash and using Guide Numbers to calculate f-stop needed for distance from subject? Well, that's what I want to do, go completely manual using the internal flash on my G10. Sent a query to Canon, and as usual the response was canned and didn't come close to answering my question. The folks as Canon educated me on how to set up auto flash!

OK, so I could probably come up with a guide number through trial and error. And that might actually be fun to do. However, can any of my learned friends just tell me the guide number of the G10 internal flash, or better point me to a website for the info.

I've done a fair amount of research without any real return on my investment. Thank you for your replies and for reading my mail. Jerry
