Default AutoGimp...?

I have just built myself a website, and am uploading a few images to it. In order to avoid my pictures showing up elsewhere without my knowledge, I wanted to resize, reduce resolution, and then add a watermark layer to each image. I use GIMP, and have heard that you can automate it to do repeated steps such as these. Even if I could just add the watermark layer with a simple action, that would save me a lot of time. I suspect it may be something to do with the script-fu functions - but I haven't the first clue how to construct one. Can anyone help?

Cheers,
Grumby

You might have an easier time if you look for some shareware software that just does what you are looking for. I don't know what operating system you use, but on the Macintosh there is a shareware program called iWatermark that does everything you want with a simple user interface... I'm sure there are similar programs for Windows and Linux.

When you upload your photos to a picasa webalbum you can choose the option to have a watermark on them. After that you can transfer them with watermark anywhere you want...
The color and intensity of the watermark is automatically adjusted to the image color (as far as I see on the photos I uploaded...)

Thanks guys.
I found a bit of software to put watermarks on images, but it didn't cope with varying image sizes very well... so I'm going to venture into the script-fu world. Wish me luck ;-)
