Thumbs up If you added me on flickr...

Can you post in this thread?

I'm flattered you guys are adding me but I'm getting paranoid over all the recent adds...

If you are getting paranoid and don't want people adding you, set your Flickr preferences to "private". If no one can see your photos, they have no reason to add you as a contact. And if they do anyway....well, then you have something to worry about.

No, I'm not that shallow.
I just got momentarily freaked out by the storm of people adding me on Flickr.

Next.

People adding you on flickr does nothing except add you to their list of recent photos from contacts. They have no more access to you than previously -- and you don't have to add them, either.

Why? What would people adding you do to you?

Maybe . . . . if the link to your flickr account were not advertised at the bottom of every post you make (in your signature). People would not click on it as much and then stop clicking on the add a contact button. Just a thought.

I semi ment that and was semi playing, don't get bent up. I looked at your work awhile back (didn't add you) but looked because as it has been pointed out, it has a link in your sig. As Trader did mention removeing it from your sig would help fix that situation. I would take the adds as a compliment.

I do take it as a compliment!

It's just so sudden! *sob*... It's like one day I got the odd hit from DPS on my photostream and then I wake up to x number of adds and I go "what the hell did I do?!"

A flurry of people adding you as a contact happens once in a awhile. Maybe they saw a shot you took that turned up in Explore, maybe they were searching for a tag and found some of your pics, etc. You are under no obligation to make them a contact, too.
