Default Step back, deep breath, and Smile.

I was putting a print portfolio together earlier today and was blown away by some of the pictures I've taken. I'm usually my harshest critic, but looking at some of the stuff that I havent seen in a couple of months really makes me smile.

I know I'll only get better, and that my style changes wildly, but I still have a few that I can proudly take out and look at and just say to myself "DAMN IM GOOD".

It doesnt happen often, but when it does, wow...

(I've also noticed that the gear used to create a shot really comes out and I'm now able to tell which lens is which just from a shot. No joke: the 18-70 I have is jaw-dropping at times!)

Good for you...confidence is good. Not get it online so that I can critique it and bring you back down to earth

That's our Jim, always standing by with a pin to prick your balloon. LOL.

And yes, do get it online. Would love to see it. I'm just starting to put together a portfolio myself and would love to see what you've done.

Hahaha! I was waiting for that!

Seriously, though....very cool for you. I've been also working on my own portfolio and have almost hit that "wow" moment....I think I need to pull a few out that aren't quite up to par. Oh, and I should go out and take a few more good ones, that's help too, haha.

Get that puppy online so we can all worship, eh?

Outstanding!

It is a wonderful thing when your photography TRULY makes you happy. And you're right, sometimes we should sit back and just appreciate what we've done rather than always critique ourselves and our work. I fail to remember that more often than not.

Well, there seems to be enough interest, so I threw together a quick web gallery with the images I'm including into the print portfolio.

The OsmosisStudios/Adam Montpetit Print Portfolio (for the web)

Excuse the watermarks. Im not used to having such large images. Theyre intrusive, but I believe necessary. I also apologize for the filesize of some of the images: theyre not optimized.
