Since last week was about portraits, this week the question is a little broader. Where do you prefer to do most of your photography? Indoors or Outdoors?
There are probably just as many opportunities indoors as there are outdoors (ok, ok, so you can't really get a scenic landscape indoors unless you're looking out your window and happen to have a really great view, but that's not always going to be true). Indoor conditions are usually more stable because you can control the light and control the wind and hopefully the weather .Outdoor photography is always controlled by what Mother Nature feels like on that day. Of course, sometimes that's the draw of doing outdoor photographs, isn't it? Lighting, rain, snow, ice... let's hope none of these things are indoors. Light can become more difficult outside, you can't control where it comes from, and odds are you'll be working with at least a filter or two. So, whether you enjoy macros or portraits, landscapes or action shots, where do you prefer to do most of your photography? Indoors, or outdoors? (Oh yeah, don't forget to tell us why... it's always nice to have longer answers lol)

Yeah, I'm an outdoors photography person too (not an outdoors person though ). I like the occasional indoor shots, especially when I'm trying something new, but there's always stuff going on outdoors. Yep, stuff. Pretty much any event will drag me outdoors with my camera. And even if there's no event I like going outside. Though I will admit that weather keeps me indoors more often than it should, but I don't want to soak my camera... and with Wellington winds, nothing is safe when it's raining!

here i go again....being on the nerdy side of the poll.....
nine times out of ten, if i am impulsively picking up my camera, i head out of doors....i'll take a bajillion shots and come back inside for a look see on the pc.... but, nine out of ten "keepers" of mine are shot indoors.... i like going outside because it's easier for me and that would make it my preference more often...it's the indoor shot that i've thought out carefully, though, that gives me more satisfaction...... finished product preference.....indoors thanks peeper |
