Question Probably a dumb question ..

Okay, so I have a Nikon D40 with the standard lense it came with ... the 18-55mm, but I want to get into macro photography without spending money on a new macro lense, so I bought a close up lense set that says is compatible with the Nikon D40, but I don't know where to attach it. It's obviously supposed to screw on somewhere and I feel like a dork asking, but I can't figure it out. Someone help pleeaasee

hi. i have a friend who has a d60 and has a basic lense like you and she has an attachment that is for macro and i have put it on my camera before (i have a d40).
i think all you have to do is just screw it on to the end of your lense like you would a filter!
i hope that helps. let me know if it doesnt!

I don't see any place to screw it on .. not even on the end of the lense.

It should screw right onto your lens, like a filter.

hey. im putting up some pics on what it should look like for you to do!

From sample on filter and lense

(Above) first you have your lense with the little groves on the inside of it! correct!

From sample on filter and lense

(above) second you take your little macro thingy and find the groves on the outside of it and place it above your lense like i have done above!

From sample on filter and lense

(above) finally once you have it placed above you screw it on. make sure its on tight so it does not fall off when you are using it!

hope this helps! let us know if it doesnt!
