I'm a sucker for keyboard shortcuts, I guess it comes from using laptops so much? I was doing some reading today and found a couple that are going to save me HEAPS of time sorting images in Lightroom. Just thought I'd share it with anyone that's interested.
Once you've imported your images go into loupe view (e) to look at the photos at a decent size. If you push "p" it flags your image as good and "x" flags it as bad. If you hold down shift or have caps lock activated at the same time it automatically moves to the next image If you're unsure of an image you can push "0" or arrow right to skip it to look at later.Once you've flagged all your images you can use the filter to check the bad ones before deleting them from your disk. Then filter for un-flagged and take a closer look at the unsure ones. I was previously doing something similar with giving each image either 1, 3 or 5 stars but this is heaps quicker! Have you got any Lightroom shortcuts you use regularly? My other favourites are: g - Grid view in Library e or enter/return - Loupe view d - Develop r - crop in Develop k - adjustment brush in Develop n - spot removal in Develop Cheers Free
