Default Rain rain rain

AACKKK I had such plans of losing myself in my backyard with my camera practicing macro while my kids rode their bikes up and down the streets of our neighborhood. WELL those plans are shot to heck!
Its raining and the kids and I are stuck in the house (with them fighting) So here I sit reading more articles on photography instead of getting out there and SHOOTING!

Take some macro shots of their eyes. Or threaten to take macro shots of their eyes if they don't stop fighting. Either way, you win.

Nice and sunny here in southern England, but have been stuck at work all day so same as you, couldn't get out - now it's the evening and too much to do around the house so still can't get out!

I think this site is great, being able to converse and see photos from around the world is awesome! The only other messageboard I visit is for the local football team and compared with this is a bit insular.

Why don't you shoot the kids fighting? At least you'll be able to make them look stupid by showing future girl/boyfriends?

PS I know how you feel - we've got three boys!

I love looking at all the world photos as well! Better than any travel website

As to the photographing them fighting ~ that would require me coming out of my little hiding spot and having to deal with them bahahahahah
My EIGHT YEAR OLD DAUGHTER just yelled through the house
"For God sakes GROW UP YOU TWO!!!"
I think I am going to nominate her mother of the year LOL

Know what you mean. While my wife was gone away for six months I had a 13-month-old boy, three-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy, (who happened to hate me because his mom went out to sea).

Many times, I threatened to duc tape them to the chairs and make them watch old b & w movies.

Thank god, now that she's been retired from the Navy since 1997, when had they through their teens. They are now Trevor, 21, Julia, 18 and Colin, 16.

I understand your pain. When my 15 and 13 year old boys fight/argue with each other (usually over a video game), I make them turn it off, come down in to the family room with me and sit on opposite ends of the couch from each other. Then, I turn the television to the history channel and they aren't allowed to speak. Now, when I tell them to quit it, they usually do.

I'm sure you can find some interesting macro shots in the house. I just took a few myself on our washing machine for the macro shot guessing thread.

I found that the washer is a nice flat white surface with a good light source above it for taking macro shots (if only I had a macro lens...)

Hopefully I can get this beast edited and all that for the game.

Also, you could take some pictures of the rain or the drops hitting puddles or something cool like that.
