I have a flash based website that works fine on my laptop but it locks up on a desktop I have here. The desktop has XP (up to date) with the latest version of Flash installed.
Does it load fine or not for ya'all? What browser are you using? http://www.paultography.ca Thanks for your time.

I'm glad to hear it loaded fine and thanks for the comments. The desktop it crashes on was just reformatted and has been giving me problems one right after another.

...and this is why you don't use flash in your websites! '__'

It works -- but very slowly -- on my Mac running Firefox 3. I think you have a bit too much flash there -- it will get very slow on anything but a brand new machine, google won't like you, potential clients will leave as it loads...

Thanks Everyone
The site was brand new, live for one day and came with a splash page. I was renaming files etc. to get rid of the splash page whilst at the same time I was multitasking trying to get the desktop set up. That's why I was wondering if I had messed up something in the website code or not. It turns out that even though the desktop had a fresh install of XP and the latest version of flash I still didn't have the correcct video drivers installed hence the site crashing. All works well now.

Gonna take a moment to plug my web design thread (again). See my sig.
One of the major things that leapt out at me as soon as I saw your front page was "GOD that's a lot of space!". It's good to see a site designed for a small monitor but my eyes are drawn away from the content by the massive margins either side. I run a 1280x1024 screen so itns' not that bad but when I get home and fire it up on my 1680x1050 widescreen it'll look worse. The other thing is sound. I would strongly advocate killing the music with fire. Nobody wants to be quietly browsing the web, talking on Skype when suddenly a website blares music out at full volume. If you MUST have tunes, default them to OFF with a "play" button instead of ON with a "stop" button.

Personally, I detest flash websites. I run Firefox with noscript, and if I encounter a flash website, I normally just surf away. I also detest music on a site. My musical tastes may not always jive with the designers.

For all my bashing of Flash, I DO like the way the background adjusts to the image being shown and you have made it about the photos and not about words and blurb. Still needs to be wider!

Well I can't do anything about the width as the template max. image size is 900x500. It is designed for viewing at 1024x768 which stats seem to indicate as a common size to aim for. The images in landscape position do fill the frame better than the portrait position. Too bad I tend to favour portrait position more in my shooting.
