Question Book suggestions

Hey guys, I was talking online with a friend of mine back home, we are both into photography and I had asked if she had taken any courses. She had, but said she was a little disapointed cause they all seemed to focus on photoshop rather then camera and techniqe. So my question would be, any recomendations and a really good tech book, even if it is something for beginers. I think I'd even like to revisit some old info. Thanks for any help! Ri

Check out The Digital Photography Book by Scott Kelby, it's humorous yet a great instruction book on the how to's of getting great shots.

"Understanding Exposure" and "Understanding Shutter Speed" by Bryan Peterson are 2 books that I can recommend. They sort of go hand in hand, and cover the same topics, but from different angles and sometimes the same thing said in a different way will make it "click" in your head.
