Default My 'bad economy' photobox...

Someone asked that I post a picture of my self built photobox, and I'm posting it here as I'm not sure of all the rules of the forum yet.

In any event, its basically just a cardboard box with the inside spray painted black. I cut a hole in one side, and covered it with wax paper to use as a filter. Then placed a brooder light on top.

Here is the box.

The box with the light on top...

And a few pictures I've taken using the box. These pictures were taken using a FujiFilm FinePix point and shoot that I used before I got my new oly. (The watermark is on the pictures because people commonly use other peoples images to sell their own birds, so its a preventative measure.)

And for this one, I just taped a white sheet of printer paper on the back wall of the box, as well as the floor. Kinda came out gray...

Hi Christopher! Very creative and effective. That box rocks. It seems to me as a great setup for macro pictures. Thanks for posting!

The original idea actually WAS for macro pictures. I got the idea from a glass beadmaking forum that I am on. A few members used this method, or methods like this to properly light their glass beads for close up photos.

I just use it for taking pictures of baby chicks...
