Smile I am new here

Hi, I am Charlotte Wilson, outside of Atlanta GA. After a 25+years hiatus from photography, I am back to enjoy the wonders of digital. I have always leaned towards black and white portraits, really close up. The folks at Elements Village has been very helpful in guiding me through Elements 7 and I am looking to learn everything that i can. I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D40x, running Windows XP, HP Smartphoto,(I think, I am not at home) and edit with Elements 7.

Hi, charlotteinkennesaw, I'm mikeinmonroe! I think you'll have a lot of fun here at DPS. I recently made the plunge when I bought a Nikon D40X which I've affectionately named Nikki Sue Nikon. I've had a few film SLRs and had wanted to dive into digital, but was waiting for the right price. Finally I found a refurbished D40X at a great price and that is how Nikki Sue came to me. I now have a renewed passion for photography and I hope your new purchase will do the same for you. This is a really friendly site, full of great photographers who are willing to help and encourage, so dive in with both feet! I'm looking forward to seeing your posts!
