LMFAO.....nor mine!

(But I know Eric was being sarcastic.)

Jackie, a big welcome to you! I've learned so much here, it's incredible. Sit down, take your time looking through, read all you can. If you can't find what you want to know via search, ask.

And post your photos! We want to see them! Read the rules for each section, and in no time you'll be a DPS addict like me (oh, am I not supposed to encourage that????)

Inspiring yes, but also intimidating. I feel incredibly inferior, and have just been lurking around silently most times. I'll start to post, then say to myself, "What is the worth of your opinion," and just leave with no post. Lighting? Posing? Focal distances? F-stops? It's all a whirl in my head these days. And you're totally right about the caliber of work on this site being top notch! Sometimes I just go through the weekly assignment going "Ohhh," or "Wow!"

Now I'm going to post a new subject, 'cause I had my first kind of "real" assignment today, and as usual feel totally inadequate. Not gonna quit, but wow...it's not as easy as it looks!

Even if you don't know the jargon you do know what you like and don't like.Don't be afraid to post! Please say something. Your opinion is worth certainly worth something! The more you post, the more we all get know each other and everyone here is incredibly nice and helpful.
I have only been here myself since Feb. and have learned a ton. That would not happen if I did not ask questions and make some great connections with the wonderful people here.
You have to be open for critique but understand that they are only trying to help you and not putting you down or being mean spirited in anyway. Can not take anything personal.
With that being said, don't feel intimidated but inspired by the beautiful quality of the photography you see here for you know the caliber of experience and education is second to none for help and advice. Wouldn't you want to learn from the best?
