Unhappy DPS Is Not Safe?

Ho-hum...

Suddenly, as of today, whenever I click on my favourite link to come straight to the DPS forums, I get this:

Quote:
Suspicious Web Page Blocked

You attempted to access:

http://digital-photography-school.com/forum/index.php

For your protection, this web page has been blocked and submitted for review. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.
This is rather annoying... I can just click that I want to go to the site anyway, but, yeah, frustrating.

Anyone else having this issue? Could it be something to do with the ads down the side (which, I'm not sure, appear to have changed today?). Solutions? (Which aren't "Change from Nortons... I like Norton 2009.)

Hmm, yes.

I have NEVER let a firewall or anti-virus tell me where I can and cannot go. I've never seen it as an option, even with Symantec.

That being said, Im on a mac and dont have any virus problems

I don't know if its the adds down the side but they certainly are very annoying. The break the site format when you post an 800px wide picture. The new format (brown make over) was supposed to increase the width but this add just breaks that.

There should be (I'd think) an option to add an exception or to whitelist a site so that you don't get the error message every time you go to the site.

I wondered why it had changed from bein cetred to being Left justified. With FF + Adblock I don't see the ads but a lot of empty space down the RHS.

Nope but my browser protector says low to moderate threat level ... this is because the number of links within th esite usually as some pages it gets a green clear others not so clear ... I would say no problem but google ads does occasionally have adverts that are VERY dodgy slide through so they are probably triggering the threat

How very weird... without doing anything, it is now fine and the problem doesn't arise. I guess Symatec were screwing around with something, and considering of late the only sites I go to is here, MySpace, Facebook, my studentmail, flickr and one other forum, who knows if i stumbled upon to the one in a thousand which was affected...

But, fixed now!
