Default I Really Dislike Walmart

Picked up a few dozen photos today from Walmart that I had printed from the Softball game this past Saturday. Naturally they look better on this forum and Flickr. I wish Ritz (the only place within 60 miles of my home) had not closed. They really did a good job.

Oh well, time to just go ahead and find a good printing company on the internet.

Hope you guys don't mind my fussing, but I just needed to say "I dislike Walmart" to people that would understand.

Thanks

Mpix is really good, i have had a few larger prints done and they hve great easy to use website and winkflash also is a good one with fast service.
I hate wal-mart for more than just the photography. its the entire company that I see being evil.
I guess being in retail the last "god knows" how many years has opened my eyes to a lot of their shady business practices!

I use MPix as well and have been more than satisfied with them. Another one I have heard very good things about is WHCC.

Learn even more if you work for them. I did for a few years at one of their top 5 grossing stores...I still shop there simply because they tend to have the best prices on most stuff...store loyalty has never paid the bills..
They seriously started going downhill after Sam Walton died and lost his vision...
Never tried them for pictures..

I have had many great 8x10 and 11x14 prints made by Walmart. What specifically did you not like?

This brings to me a really funny story. The guy at our local Wally world runs the photography section. You know, prints the images people bring in. lol
Well he got some certificate because he knows how to run the machines. Well, I guess he figured that made him a photographer because he brought in his lil notebook and some sample photos and his certificate and wanted to be juried into this gallery.
Needless to say his photos were horrid and he didnt get in.

I worked for Sam's Club and Wal-mart. I know all about them and being in the grocery business and retail I know more than I wish I knew about them.....the way they screw over the cities who subsidize their buildings and give tax breaks only to close up and move 2 miles down the road to get out of the city limits and not have to pay taxes and the way the workers for them in china live and have to live where they say or else pay them and more appualling things. Sam would seriously be very disappointed in the company nowaday....so NOT what he wanted it to become.....
