Only if you can get a camera in.

Some concerts are kinda funny about stuff like that.

It was a free outside concert sponsored by a local radio station. They have them once every two or three months. it was in front of City Hall. Very good concert. I will post some pics tomorrow.

Funny thing happened. I was up against the rail that they had around the VIP section. Some people had a blanket in front of the rail and told me I was on their blanket. No problem. I moved off the blanket. They then said I was in their way. They said I had to move. This was before the concert started, I told them I was on public property(the street was blocked off) so as a photographer and seeing as hoe it was on public property I was not required to move. They said they were going to call the cops, block me from taking pictures. I said go ahead. I am doing nothing wrong. They said they were going to call the cops over I said go ahead I have done nothing wrong. In order to avoid any further confrontation I moved to another location.

I remembered the rights of a photographer.

Were you in the way of them watching the concert? I'm assuming that you weren't on any sort of assignment where you were being paid to shoot the concert.

Understanding your rights as a photographer and making sure you receive them is one thing. But unless you were on some official business there I think you may have crossed the line and just started being an ass.

No the concert had not started yet and I was not being an ass. I simply asked them if I could take a picture and then I was going to move on. I was also being polite. Nothing more. I even said I was going to move on after I was done. I don't think I did anything wrong. I was not on an assignment or getting paid. I was a person at the concert just like they were. Everyone else was taking pictures also. I was not trying to cause trouble. They were also drunk and were being unruly. Need I say anything else.

See, if that had been in there the first time I wouldn't have said that (which is also why I said you may have been and not that you were, I figured there was something else that would tip the scales).

That being said, I wouldn't have even asked if I was just going to get something and then leave.

Isn't everyone in someone else's way in a concert?
